JSTI's Transportation Planning & Design Institute has been recognized for its research into modernizing tunnel lighting systems to reduce energy consumption and in turn become more environmentally friendly. The research paper was reviewed by a distinguished panel of industry experts and was organized by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Jiangsu Province. The review committee consisted of Professor Huang Weidong from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Professor Zhu Shunbing from Nanjing Tech University, and Senior Engineer Huang Ruxi of the National Lighting Test Centre.
